• Spring 2022 – Mt Shasta Summit (really, really, really mean it this time). If I can’t do it in the snow during late spring, I’ll just have to do it in summer without snow.
• July 2022 – Yosemite Tuolumne Meadows to Hetch Hetchy hike. I was unable to do this hike in 2019 due to the high snow levels, in 2020 I decided on a different hike, and in 2021 I couldn’t get beyond the 2nd night. There is also a chance I’ll turn this into a Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) section hike. That would take me out the north end of Yosemite and towards Lake Tahoe and maybe as far as Donner Pass along Highway I-80. That may become my ‘Big’ hike this Summer if I can’t go to Japan.
• Summer 2022 – Japan – More hiking in the Japan Alps (maybe a long trek through the whole stretch of mountains this time) and maybe Mt Fuji for the 3rd time. I didn’t want to go during Olympics in 2020 and then the postponement of the Olympics to 2021 scuttled that plan yet again. Unfortunately, it’s still up in the air this year as well.
• 202? – PCT from Yosemite NORTHBOUND. Not sure how far yet, but it won’t be the entire PCT.
• 202? – Mt Williamson, Mt Tyndall, Mt Russell, Mt Whitney starting from Shepherds Pass.
• 202? – Grand Canyon – South Rim to River to North Rim to River to South Rim Trek.
• 202? – John Muir Trail NORTHBOUND starting from Mt Whitney. What the heck… might as well see how it looks from the other direction. 🙂
• 20?? – Aconcagua, Argentina (22,841 feet).
• 20?? – Mt Kilimanjaro via Machame Route. Yes, as soon as I got back I already have this return to Kilimanjaro penciled into my future plans.
• 20?? – Mt Everest Base Camp (17,600 feet) – Because I know trying to climb up to Mt Everest’s summit would kill me, this is the next best thing that I can do without dying. Probably.
