What started as a errant thought earlier this year, led to me attempting to hike all those little out of the way trails and roads that I had never hiked before. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The COVID-19 restrictions helped keep me closer to home than normal, so I didn&#8217;t even need the whole year to finish the list of trails. Feels good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Considering I even hiked some utility roads and other unofficial trails, I feel like I covered a lot of territory during the last 7+ years of hiking at Mt Diablo. I didn&#8217;t even bother counting the paved roads used by cars that I occasionally had to walk along to reach the next trail. Only now in retrospect did I have the thought that I should have hiked all those paved roads while the park was closed to cars. Opportunity lost. I guess I could always try a real early start to get in before the gates open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I now have to decide if trying to do ALL the trails in a single calendar year is possible or even a good idea.
