(More photos when bandwidth allows)

Fortunately, the prior night was a tad warmer than my first night back on the trail. 😀

The main goal for the day was to reach the Shasta-Trinity Wilderness. Since I restarted with a bear bag, I didn’t have to worry about camping inside the wilderness or not. Which was good because it would’ve been very short day if I had to stop before the wilderness boundary.

Please note: This not a wilderness toilet. We do that business farther from the trail. 😛

I weigh three was the last pavement before the wilderness boundary.

As the afternoon wore on, I I picked out a nice campsite. Not a great view, but somewhat pleasant

I made sure my food was all in my bear bag and tied it up very nice and tight.

Some people hang their bear bags from trees, but I just tucked it in my tent next to me so it would be safe. The bear would have to eat me first to get to that food. 😜
