After battling the wind the previous day and finding a campsite that was somewhat protected from the wind overnight, I woke up to an amazing sight.

Even if I was mostly looking for something out of the wind, part of me also liked this site because it did have a partial view to the east.

I think I chose wisely for both reasons.

There were two water tanks at mile 59 and mile 62 that I knew I had to hit at least one of them.

I ended up visiting both, but only really needed the second one. Such as life in the desert, you take the water when and where you get it.

I ended up ending today right before another water tank mostly because there were no good sites before that. There was just a lot of ridge line to hike along, which doesn’t always invite flat surfaces to camp on.

I did have some views from this campsite so nothing to complain about.

Twelve and a half miles to end on pct mile 68.
