Mile 788.4 to 703.4 – 15 miles total hiked on PCT

Mostly down hill today, but a long downhill with a lot of motivation at the end to keep going.

After 4 days in the high desert, you come across a river!

Even if a shower or dip in a pool is 3 miles away, jumping in is like heaven on Earth!!!

700, Baby!

It might’ve been the second time I reached this 700 mile Mark, but this time doing it continuously from Mexico is all the more satisfying. Not to mention tiring on my feet. 😄

Not long after (although longer than my feet and legs wanted it to be) I arrived at Sherman Road. Mile 703. Notable for being the location of Kennedy Meadows (South), a big PCT resupply, rest, and party spot before hikers take on the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

I planned on taking several days to rest and resupply. I’ll leave the partying to the younger hikers. 😅
