Mile 788.4 to 703.4 – 15 miles total hiked on PCT

Mostly down hill today, but a long downhill with a lot of motivation at the end to keep going.

After 4 days in the high desert, you come across a river!

Even if a shower or dip in a pool is 3 miles away, jumping in is like heaven on Earth!!!

700, Baby!

It might’ve been the second time every the 700 mile Mark, but this time doing it continuously from Mexico is all the more satisfying. Not to mention tiring on my feet. 😄

Not long after (although longer than my feet and legs wanted it to be) I arrived at Sherman Road. Mile 703. Notable for being the location of Kennedy Meadows (South), a big PCT resupply, rest, and party spot before hikers take on the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

I planned on taking several days to rest and resupply. I’ll leave the partying to the younger hikers. 😅
