*0* miles total hiked on PCT – 5.9 miles from Kearsarge Lakes to Onion Valley Trailhead – 7.71 miles hiked back to PCT the next day

This was only a side hike to pickup a resupply package that ended up with me going down to Lone Pine for a Zero Night. 😇

But one nice thing about me going down to Lone Pine was, I got to see the sunset behind the mountains and also the light from the sunrise against Mount Whitney.

Unfortunately, it did mean that I had to re-climb that damn Kearsarge Pass to get back to the trail. But better to do it split between two days that going down and up in one day.

Probably. 😜

Once at the top, I went down to Kearsarge Lakes again, and recombined my equipment, the bear canister and food I left behind, and the items from my resupply package.

Then I hiked back to the PCT junction with the Bullfrog Lake Trail to resume my journey north.
