Mile 1111.9 to 1126.9 – 15 miles total hiked on PCT
Day >100< on the trail!!! (Plus the 21 Zero Days off the trail)
Not a lot of color around my campsite, but it was still a nice way to wake up.

So, I headed north with Barker Pass as the rough destination.

Deer!

No blood or puncture marks, just the bump that was a little tender to the touch. Moving my foot and walking on it didn’t have any pain and all my toes and bones moved normally. So, didn’t seem to be broken.

Richardson Lake was a quick stop for a swim to cool and clean off… but I shouldn’t have stopped.

During my swim, my foot slipped on a flat rock on the bottom of the lake and was briefly trapped under it. Got it free and it felt fine.
But when I got out of the water, there was a big bump on the left side of the top of my right foot.
So, I put on my boots and continued my hike.
I hope we this wouldn’t end my trek. 4 years ago, I had to another my PC TV California section K hike at Barker Pass due to a fluke step on a stone at Dicks Pass.
Hopefully, this is not the start of a section K curse. 😞

I crossed the Rubicon Jeep trail. I had heard so one vehicle as I approached it, but did see anything.

The approach to Barker Pass was mostly along a ridge through patches of meadows and small pockets of forests.

Barker Pass (7,658 feet) came into view. No big challenge, but it did provide a paved road down to Lake Tahoe if I had to be abort due to my foot injury (like I had to 4 years ago).

No trail manic either.
Foot was still feeling fine, so I did see a reason to abort. I b was going to find a campsite soon, so I would see how the foot felt in the morning and could always come back to the pass if I needed to.

I ended up at a great campsite overlooking Lake Tahoe.

I also checked out my foot, but it seemed the same as right after the injury.

So, it was back to enjoying the foot, setting up my tent, eating dinner, and enjoying the sunset.

Unfortunately, the Full Moon washed out the stars.
