Mile 1126.9 to 1137.2 – 10.3 miles total hiked on PCT + 1 mile to visit one of the Five Lakes

First things first. My right foot still felt okay, but there was bruising around the toes and still swelling on top of the right foot. Still no pain to walk on it or flex it.

So, I decided to continue north.

But with a sunrise like this, I’d crawl to the next sunset and sunrise. 😄

Then it was back on the trail headed north. No particular destination yet for this day, but the trail basically ran along a ridge line up and down to some ski lifts, all with some pretty vistas along the way.

I decided to go down to one of the beautiful Five Lakes (which I hadn’t bothered to do the last time I was here). I even tempted fate and took a swim.

No problems with the swim this time and my foot still looked pretty much the same it had that morning.

I could’ve put another mile or two on on the books after the swim, but I decided to set up camp near the lakes. Unfortunately, you couldn’t actually camp near the lakes. And I ended up in pretty much the same campsite I had been in the last time I was here. Kind of sucks to repeat, especially without a good view, but I just didn’t feel like going on.

Good night.
