Mile 1223.4 to 1235.7 – 12.3 miles total hiked on PCT + Half a mile to get water

The trees kind of blocked the previous night sunset but the view for the sunrise was pretty spectacular.

Sadly, once the late show was over, I had to pack up and get going north again.

Fortunately, the smoky air that had threatened to descend on me a couple days ago seems to have dispersed. The forecast and the air seemed to be clearing.

A lot of nice forests, Meadows, and Ridge lines were my friends today.

One part of the betrayal went directly over a hill so you went from one valley to another.

As the day went on, I decided I would go into Quincy California tomorrow to get some additional food, some rest, a room at a hotel, and hopefully some much-needed rest for my knee and my feet.

My body was really starting to slow me down, which is amazing since I’m already going pretty slow. 🤣

I identified some camping spots that were about a mile from the road that went into Quincy and found a nice campsite for the night.
