Mile 821.6 to 832.8 – 11.2 miles total hiked on PCT

After enjoying the night at Lower Palisade Lake, I enjoyed the sunrise and then headed north once again.

After the lake, I had to climb down what they call the Golden Staircase. This is a very horrible set of switchbacks to climb when going southbound on the JMT. But going downwards, it was just a pleasant walk so I made it down easily

After descending down Deer meadow, I then had to climb up into LeConte canyon to start the 4,000 foot climb up to Muir Pass, the last of the 12k passes on the PCT.

 I ended up camping at a nice spot in Little Pete Meadow for the night. Knowing the next day’s climb would be a hard one.
