Mile 858.9 to 867.4 – 8.5 miles total hiked on PCT + 1.5 miles to get back on PCT from MTR

Stayed at Muir Trail Ranch last night in a tent cabin. Nighttime thunderstorm, so was glad I wasn’t on the trail.

The start of the long slog up.

Climbed SELDEN PASS 10,913 feet today. Even if it’s 1,000 shorter than Muir Pass, it was a horrible climb. So, not many miles hiked on PCT today.

After reaching the top of the Pass, I descended to Marie Lake and camped there. Long day time wise, but short on mileage.
