Mile 867.4 to 879.8 – miles total hiked on PCT

So, a great night and sunrise at Marie Lakes led to a descent towards Mono Creek. I had thought about a stop at Vermillion Valley Resort, a favorite stop for PCT hikers. But since I didn’t need to resupply AND the Edison Lake Ferry wasn’t running (meaning an extra 8 miles round trip to get there and back), I again decided to skip VVR.

I ended up camping near Mono Creek.
